Quiet rural Farmhouse - Agriturismo in Tuscany
This spacious agriturismo is a former monastery dating back to the twelfth century. It is about 25 minutes’ drive from the beach at Follonica. Located at 35 km is Castiglione della Pescaia, my favorite beach resort of the Maremma. Siena is about 75 km away.
The agriturismo is in a very quiet rural location amidst olive trees and has wonderful views of the surrounding hills.
Pool and restaurant
There is a swimming pool with beautiful views and a restaurant that is open a few nights a week. Breakfast is also possible. There is also a small playground.
The apartments
In total there are 13 apartments at the agriturismo. During the renovation of the monastery they managed to preserve the old structures as much as possible. The terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and ancient arches in the apartments are proof of this. The apartments all have one or more bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen with oven, washing machine and dishwasher. The apartments in the annexe have a private terrace with table and chairs. The apartments in the main building (both on the ground and first floor) have a table and chairs on a shared terrace, about 30 metres from the apartment.

This agriturismo is for lovers of nature, tranquility and the beautiful Maremma countryside in southern Tuscany. Ideal for those who want to combine this with an occasional trip to the beach.
